PTSO Meeting & Chipotle Fundraiser 🌮✨

On September 10, 2024, the KIPP OKC PTSO hosted its monthly meeting at Chipotle Mexican Grill. Pairing the meeting with a community fundraiser gave families the chance to grab dinner while supporting our school. The turnout was strong, and it was a night filled with planning, ideas, and energy for the year ahead.


Meeting Highlights

Here’s a look at what we covered during the meeting:

  • 🚌 End-of-Year Trip – Members voted to take this year’s big trip to OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark.

  • 📅 Calendar Fundraiser – Discussed launching a creative calendar fundraiser where each individual student can raise money to help cover the cost of their trip.

  • 👕 PTSO Shirts – Urgent discussion on designing and ordering new PTSO shirts to show our school spirit.

  • 🌐 PTSO Digital Presence – Announced the launch of a new website, blog, and social media pages coming soon! Visit us at kippokcparents.org.

  • 💵 Membership Dues – Collected PTSO dues to help fund upcoming events and activities.


Upcoming Fundraisers

We’re excited to roll out several opportunities for families and the community to support KIPP OKC:

  • 🍗 Raising Cane’s Fundraiser Night – October 6th at N. May Ave. in OKC (also our next PTSO meeting).

  • 🥓🍪 Meat & Cookie Fundraiser – Always a family favorite!

  • 🛼 Family Skate Night – Admission $8 per person.

  • 🐍 Wild Animal Encounter Fundraiser – Tickets $15 per person, bringing exotic animals to our school for a one-of-a-kind experience.

We also highlighted September and October events for families to enjoy and participate in:

  • 🍩 Donuts with Dad – September 18th

  • 💐 Breakfast with Beauties – October

  • 🟠🔵 Battle of the PTSO – Families can “vote” with dollars on who they think will win the competition. [Payment link coming soon!]

  • 🎉 Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration


Looking Ahead

Our next PTSO meeting will be on October 6th at Raising Cane’s (N. May Ave, OKC). We hope to see you there as we continue building momentum with new fundraisers, events, and ways for families to get involved.
